Submit scientific names and classifications to the Global Names environment

We prefer to receive lists in Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A) format with an included metadata file in Ecological Markup Language (EML), though we also offer services to accept files in other formats for transformation into validly formed DwC-A.

At this time, submissions to PostBox will be stored in the Global Names Classification and List Repository with a Creative Commons CC0 waiver and names will be added to the Global Names Index.

Tree Challenge

EOL and Global Names are offering prizes to the individual or team that can provide large or very large phylogenetically-organized set(s) of scientific names.
